Peru Central School District is seeking a dedicated Teacher Aide to provide 1:1 support in a 12:1:3:1 classroom.

Position Details:
📌 Positions Available: 1
📌 Type: 10-Month, Hourly
📌 Location: Intermediate Classroom
📌 Hours: 30 hours/week (6 hrs/day)
  • Candidate will work directly with the student in the classroom

Compensation & Benefits:
💰 Hourly Rate: $17.06 – $22.87/hr
  (based on the 2025–26 CSEA Salary Schedule)
🩺 Benefits Eligible Position:
  • Health Insurance (valued up to $35,813.64 annually) or
  • Health Insurance Buyout (valued up to $13,760 annually)

Duties & Qualifications Include:
✔ Monitoring student behavior in the classroom, on the bus, during lunch, specials, and recess
✔ Assisting with basic health, hygiene, and toileting as needed
✔ Collecting data on student behavior
✔ Supporting behavior management plans (experience with non-violent crisis intervention and physical restraint preferred)
✔ Escorting and monitoring students during time-out
✔ Assisting the classroom teacher and participating on the behavior management team
✔ Ability to build positive relationships with students and work collaboratively
✔ Good judgment, patience, and strong organizational skills
✔ Enjoy working with students under the supervision of a classroom teacher
