Teacher Aide in 15_1 classroom (Grade 9)

The District expects to appoint an individual to the following position for the 2026-2027 school year:

Teacher Aide (1:1) Grade 9; working in a 15:1 classroom

32.5 hours per week (6.5 hrs/day) – Candidate shall work with the student in the classroom

Duties may include:

• Monitoring student behavior in class, lunch, specials and recess, requires assistance with, basic health, hygiene and toileting if necessary,
• Collecting data on student behavior,
• Escorting student to time out (experience with non-violent crisis intervention and physical restraint),
• Monitoring student in time out,
• Being an active participant on the behavior management team,
• Assisting the class under the direction of the classroom teacher.
• Good general intelligence;
• Ability to establish positive relationships with children; familiarity with classroom routine;
• Above average clerical aptitude; knowledge of computers helpful;
• Resourcefulness in conducting activities related to the teaching process;
• Neat personal appearance; ability to maintain discipline; tact; courtesy; good judgment; good physical condition; 
• Enjoy working with students in a classroom setting under the direct supervision of a classroom teacher. 

Compensation: $18.06 – $23.87/hr (Salary based on the 2026-27 CSEA Salary Schedule) Health Insurance (Valued @ up to $36,888 annually) or Health Insurance Buyout (Valued @ up to $13,761 annually) Eligible Position.
