Peru Central School District is accepting applications for the following position:

🔹 Position: Teacher Aide (Shared) – Grade 6, General Education
🔹 Number of Positions: One (1)
🔹 Type: 10-Month, Hourly
🔹 Location: Middle School

⏰ Hours:
• 32.5 hours per week (6.5 hours/day)
• Candidate will work with the student in the classroom

💲 Hourly Rate:
• $17.06 – $22.87 per hour
• Based on the 2025–26 CSEA Salary Schedule

🩺 Benefits:
• Health Insurance (valued up to $35,813.64 annually) OR
• Health Insurance Buyout (valued up to $13,760 annually)
Eligible position

📘 Duties May Include:
• Monitoring student behavior in class, on the school bus, during lunch, specials, and recess
• Assisting with basic health, hygiene, and toileting as needed
• Collecting data on student behavior
• Escorting and monitoring students during time-out
• Participating as an active member of the behavior management team
• Assisting the classroom under the direction of the classroom teacher
• Experience with non-violent crisis intervention and physical restraint preferred

• Familiarity with classroom routines
• Good judgment, tact, courtesy, and professionalism
• Ability to maintain discipline
• Computer knowledge helpful
• Good physical condition and neat personal appearance
• Enjoy working with students under the direct supervision of a classroom teacher
